To ensure quality of service and continuity of supply, our professional buying staff makes decisions based on their knowledge of market trends -- supply and demand, seasonal needs, forward buying and consolidation of requirements -- which results in reduced costs to our customers. Advisory committees, consisting of agency representatives, provide feedback to the VDC on quality requirements for commodities stocked, participate in product evaluations and suggest ways that the VDC can improve quality.

Over 950 top-quality line items are available, including staple foods, frozen foods, janitorial supplies, paper and plastic products and other select items. The VDC's quality assurance program provides for random evaluations of commodities for adherence to specifications and responds to agency complaints concerning product quality.

Centrally located in Sandston near the Richmond International Airport, the Virginia Distribution Center serves the entire state. Products are shipped from our 128,000 square foot facility within 5 to 8 days from receipt of orders.
